The SimpliFire Allusion Edge 78 (SF-ALLE78) is a slide-in linear electric fireplace with a 75-1/2 in. x 15 in. viewing area and a shallow 2 x 6 wall depth, made for a media wall, bedroom feature wall or great room where a long, low fire is the focal point. It gives you four digital flame effects, crackling sound, adjustable heat up to 5,000 BTU/h or no heat at all, and Wi-Fi control, and it needs no gas line, vent or chimney.

- Required: a framed and finished wall opening to the dimensions above, with drywall or finishing material in place before the unit is slid in
- Required: a 120 V, 15 A circuit; Hearth & Home Technologies requires a qualified electrician for hardwiring and says never to use an extension cord or power strip
- Required for app control: a Wi-Fi network
- Optional: SimpliFire build-out kit, decorative spheres and glowing birch log set (the last two are selectable options above)
Installation Notes
The Allusion Edge slides into a framed opening, so plan the wall finish before the unit goes in and keep 36 in. clear in front and 4 in. above to the ceiling. It heats the room electrically and is not a replacement for a primary heat source. Because it is electric, it avoids the venting and gas rules that limit gas fireplaces, which makes it a practical choice in many New York City apartments, but your building may still have rules on wall penetrations and electrical work. Have a qualified electrician make the connection, and book a design consultation so we can confirm the wall depth, circuit and finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it need a gas line or a vent?
No. The Allusion Edge is electric. It runs on a 120 V, 15 A circuit and needs no gas, vent or chimney.
Can I use it without heat?
Yes. The flame effects, lighting and sound run with the heater off, so you can enjoy the fire all year.
How deep does the wall need to be?
A 2 x 6 wall (5-1/2 in. framing depth) plus at least 1/4 in. of finishing material, for a minimum combined depth of 5-3/4 in.
Can I mount a TV above it?
The spec sheet allows 0 in. clearance from the top to a mantel and 4 in. to the ceiling. Check the TV maker's heat guidance and the manual before mounting a television above it.

Warranty
SimpliFire lists a 2-year warranty on the Allusion Edge. The Hearth & Home Technologies warranty in the installation manual applies to parts and workmanship; the product must remain at the original installation site and be installed to the manual and local codes.
