The Superior BDMO42E is the 42 in. bi-fold glass door in an ebony finish for Superior's WRT6000 indoor and WRE6000 outdoor wood-burning masonry fireplaces. Superior lists the BDMO doors for use with Mosaic masonry brick only, so this is the door to order when the fireplace is lined with Mosaic brick.

Closing the doors once the fire burns down keeps warm room air from escaping up the chimney, and the bi-fold panels fold back when the fire is lit. Superior also makes the door in pewter (BDMO42G) and oiled bronze (BDMO42C).

Installation Notes

Install the door to the fireplace face per the fireplace installation manual once the Mosaic brick liner is in place, and confirm the liner type first: the BDMO doors are listed for Mosaic brick only. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces or stoves under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows them. Innovative Hearth Products limited warranty for optional glass doors, per the IHP fireplace warranty: repair or replacement for 90 days from the date of installation, at prevailing IHP labor rates. Coverage requires purchase from a listed IHP supplier and installation by an IHP-approved contractor in the United States or Canada.
