Description

Available Sizes: Superior See-Thru Conversion Kits

36 in. | 60 in. | 72 in. (Current Size)

Each part fits only the Superior fireplace size named on its page; match it to your unit.

Fits: Superior VRE4672 / Barcelona Lights 72 in. outdoor linear gas fireplace (Superior VRE4600 manual)

The Superior LVOST72 is the 72 in. kit Superior lists to convert the single-sided VRE4600 outdoor linear fireplace to a see-through model, so one fire can face a patio on one side and a pool deck or garden on the other.

The fireplace ships single-sided; converting it means removing the back panel, and the manual says a see-through fireplace needs glass windshields on both sides. Plan it before framing, because the see-through version has its own framing dimensions and clearances in the manual.

Features

  • Converts the 72 in. VRE4600 outdoor linear fireplace to see-through
  • Fire visible from both sides of an outdoor wall
  • Superior catalog no. F4832
  • Uses the see-through framing and clearance tables in the VRE4600 manual
  • Windshields required on both sides in see-through use

Installation Notes

Decide on see-through before the enclosure is framed and follow the see-through framing, clearance and mantel tables in the VRE4600 manual. The conversion removes the fireplace back panel and adds windshields to the second face. In New York City, outdoor gas fireplaces and their gas piping need NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings approval, and propane at residences is restricted by the NYC Fire Code, so we review the space before quoting. Book a design consultation to plan the outdoor fire wall and gas line.
