The Superior CGLK-BLK-LIN72 is the 5-piece reflective black glass liner kit for the 72 in Superior DRL4000 and DRL6000 linear direct-vent fireplaces. The panels line the firebox so the flame and media reflect back across the full width, which makes the burner look deeper and gives a dark, finished interior when the fire is off.

Compatible Fireplaces and Matching Accessories

Installation Notes

Superior's manual installs the reflective panels with the glass door removed: loosen the screws under the firebox top, sides and rear, remove the glass retaining brackets, set the panels and reinstall the brackets and door. The kit is not compatible with the see-thru kit, so it is for single-sided installations only.

In New York City, direct-vent gas fireplaces need a licensed master plumber for the gas line and a permit, and the vent termination must meet NYC code for distance from windows, doors and lot lines.

The 72 in Superior DRL4072 and DRL6072 linear fireplaces.

Can I use it on a see-through installation?

No. Superior states reflective glass panel kits are not compatible with the see-thru kit.

Do I still need media?

Yes. Choose crushed glass media or the driftwood log set to dress the burner.

Warranty

The Innovative Hearth Products (IHP) limited warranty printed in the Superior fireplace manual gives parts not otherwise listed a 90 day warranty from the date of installation and excludes trim components and paint from the 20 year coverage on the fireplace body, firebox and barrier. Coverage is for the original owner, on products bought through a listed IHP supplier and installed in the United States or Canada. See the fireplace manual for full terms.
