The Superior VRE3236 is the 36 inch outdoor vent-free gas fireplace in the VRE3200 series, with a log set, volcanic stone and a choice of white stacked or white herringbone refractory liners. It is rated 30,000 to 45,000 BTU/h on natural gas and lights from a battery pack, so no 120 V circuit is needed at the fireplace.
It is built for covered patios, outdoor kitchens and qualifying screened porches or lanais, never for indoor rooms, and it gives a real masonry-style fire without a chimney.

Installation Notes
Install only outdoors or in a screened porch or lanai that meets the size and screening rules in Superior manual 900990-00; it is not for indoor use. Plan water management with the drain pan on exposed sites, and keep the 50 in. ceiling clearance. The gas connection should be made by a licensed plumber; in New York City, gas piping requires a licensed master plumber and permit.
