Installation Notes
This is a manufactured outdoor fireplace that goes in a framed enclosure. Follow the spec sheet and manual for framing, chimney height and clearances, and do not install combustible material on the front face except for mantels. A licensed installer should handle the chimney and any gas log connection. Wood-burning fireplaces are restricted in New York City, so read our wood burning legality guide and book a design consultation before you buy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it come with a liner?
No. Superior lists the WRE6000 series as a box only that requires a Mosaic Masonry brick liner, sold separately.
How tall does the chimney need to be?
For outdoor installations the minimum is 9.5 feet measured from the base of the fireplace to the flue gas outlet, with at least 4 feet of chimney pipe.
Can I burn gas logs in it?
The spec sheet approves it for use with logs to ANSI Z21.60, Z21.84 or Z21.11.2. Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. We sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows it.
Can I use it under a covered patio?
Check the enclosure and ventilation notes in the manual and local code. Keep 42 inches of clearance from the top of the opening to the ceiling.
