The Hargrove Radiant Heat 18 in vented gas log set uses Hargrove's Radiant Riser design to push more heat forward into the room than a conventional vented set, with crisp, hand-painted ceramic fiber logs. Pair one of five Timbers log styles with Hargrove's natural gas H-Burner, with a cool mount or hidden control, or the propane System 4 burner with cool mount control.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- You will need: a working, code-compliant wood-burning fireplace that meets the larger of the minimums above, a gas supply of the correct type, a damper stop, a fire screen, and a qualified gas installer

Installation Notes
Hargrove vented gas logs burn like wood with a yellow, smoky flame, so they may only be used in a fully vented, non-combustible wood-burning fireplace with the damper completely open and the chimney clear. Install the supplied damper stop (or a permanent one) so the damper can never close fully, keep glass doors fully open while the set operates, and use a fire screen. Installation must be done by a qualified gas installer.
In New York City, a vented gas log set goes into a working, code-compliant wood-burning fireplace and chimney, and the gas connection must be made by a licensed master plumber under permit. Have the chimney inspected first; Hargrove requires the damper to stay fixed open whenever the set is installed.

Which burner should I choose?
On natural gas, the H-Burner gives a large body of flame plus flame in front of the logs; the hidden control version tucks the valve out of sight. On propane, this set uses the System 4 burner.
Does it need a chimney?
Yes. It is a vented set for a working wood-burning fireplace with the damper fixed open.
Is a remote included?
No. The standing pilot valve accepts an optional Hargrove AF-LCK or AF-SCK remote.
Can it go in an NYC apartment?
Only in a working wood-burning fireplace that meets code, installed under permit by a licensed master plumber.

Warranty
Hargrove gas logs carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects or breakage when installed indoors; burners and grates are covered for five (5) years and all other parts for two (2) years from the verified purchase date.
