The Hargrove Yukon Char 18 in set is part of Hargrove's Ember Glow vent-free series: hand-crafted, deeply charred refractory logs over a vent-free burner with glowing embers, built for an existing masonry or factory-built wood fireplace. Because it is vent-free, nearly all of its heat stays in the room, and you choose the control that suits you, from a simple manual valve to electronic ignition with remote.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- Burner tray, embers, fittings and non-whistling flex connector (per dealer listing)
- You will need: a masonry or factory-built fireplace at least 28 x 21 x 13.5 x 16 in, a permanently piped gas supply of the correct type, a room large enough for the input (about 1,500 cu ft or more unconfined, by the manual's 20 BTU/h per cu ft rule, counting other gas appliances), and a qualified gas installer
Installation Notes
Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. We sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows it.
Where permitted, a qualified gas installer must set the logs in a masonry or factory-built fireplace and connect a permanently piped supply. Hargrove does not allow installation in bedrooms, bathrooms or recreational vehicles, the set is for supplemental heat rather than a primary heat source, and solid fuels must never be burned in a fireplace fitted with it. Do not use a natural gas set on propane or the reverse.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can this be installed in New York City?
No. Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. It is sold for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows.
Which control should I choose?
Manual is the simplest; millivolt works with a wall switch, thermostat or remote; variable flame adjusts flame height; electronic ignition includes a remote.
What size fireplace do I need?

Can it go in a bedroom?
No. Hargrove prohibits installation in bedrooms, bathrooms and recreational vehicles.

Warranty
Hargrove gives a limited lifetime warranty on the logs against manufacturing defects or breakage, five (5) years on the burner and grate, and two (2) years on valves, remote controls, switching devices and all other parts, from the verified purchase date. Notify Hargrove within 30 days of finding a defect; labor, removal and shipping are not covered. See the Hargrove manual for full terms.
