Description
Description
Available Sizes:
21″ (Current Size) 24″ 30″ 36″
Radiant Heat log sets with variable-flame remote: Cross Timbers, Aspen Timbers, Canyon Timbers, Rustic Timbers and Woodland Timbers. Select the same log style, natural gas or propane, and Ember Burner or H-Burner configuration. Heat input, log count and minimum fireplace dimensions vary by size. The separate 18″ standing-pilot and Stealth models use different controls.
Overall Dimensions: Fits a fireplace at least 20 in wide at the center, 22 in wide at the front, 14.75 in deep and 18 in high (18 in burner, per the Hargrove manual)
The Hargrove Radiant Heat Series 21 in vented gas log set pairs Cross, Aspen, Rustic, Canyon or Woodland Timbers ceramic fiber logs in Hargrove's Radiant Riser design with Hargrove's 18 in burner and a variable flame safety pilot with remote, for a working wood-burning fireplace. Choose the log style, natural gas or propane, and the single Ember Burner (E-Burner) or the dual H-Burner, which adds a second flame row in front of the logs.
Features
- Radiant Riser technology directs more heat forward into the room than a conventional vented set
- Molded, hand-painted ceramic fiber logs with fine detail
- Five Timbers log styles on the 18 in burner
- Variable flame safety pilot with remote: on, off and flame height from your seat
- Ember Burner or dual H-Burner, natural gas or propane

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- The Hargrove Radiant Heat Series log set you select
- Hargrove burner with pedestal grate, factory-installed valve and pilot, and remote control
- Silica sand (natural gas) or vermiculite (propane), rockwool embers and volcanic cinders, per the Hargrove parts list
- You will need: a working, code-compliant wood-burning fireplace and chimney of at least the minimum size above, a gas supply of the correct type, a damper stop, a fire screen, and a qualified gas installer
Installation Notes
Hargrove vented gas logs burn like wood with a yellow, smoky flame, so they may only be used in a fully vented, non-combustible wood-burning fireplace with the damper completely open and the chimney clear. Install the supplied damper stop (or a permanent one) so the damper can never close fully, keep glass doors fully open while the set operates, and use a fire screen. Installation must be done by a qualified gas installer.
In New York City, a vented gas log set goes into a working, code-compliant wood-burning fireplace and chimney, and the gas connection must be made by a licensed master plumber under permit. Have the chimney inspected first; Hargrove requires the damper to stay fixed open whenever the set is installed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which burner should I choose?
The E-Burner is a single burner with a large body of flame. The H-Burner is a dual burner that adds flame in front of the logs for a fuller fire.
Does it need a chimney?
Yes. This is a vented set for a working wood-burning fireplace, and the damper must stay fixed open.
Can I use a natural gas set on propane?
No. Order the gas type you have; natural gas and propane sets are not interchangeable.
Can it go in an NYC apartment?
Only in a working wood-burning fireplace that meets code, installed under permit by a licensed master plumber.
