The American Fyre Designs Contractor's Model with Moulding Vent-Free Outdoor Fireplace (145-11-A-WC-RBC) is a handcrafted glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) fireplace shell, supplied in White only, with a recessed hearth and body so your mason or contractor can clad it in stone, tile, brick or veneer. Crown moulding gives it a finished architectural profile. It is a blank canvas for custom outdoor rooms: the burner system is sold separately, so you choose the burner and the log set or glass.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: fireplace structure in White GFRC with recessed hearth and body, herringbone firebox liners, crated freight shipment
- Required, sold separately: a G10 or G21 vent-free burner in natural gas or propane, plus a log set or glass media
- Required: cladding materials and a mason or contractor to finish the recessed surfaces
- Required: a gas line of at least 1/2 in interior diameter with a shutoff within 6 ft, installed by a licensed plumber
Installation Notes
Outdoor use only. Never install or use it inside a building, garage or any enclosed area. Do not run it in rain or high wind. Assembly takes two or more people and the manual lists the build order, from hearth to burner. For New York City addresses, outdoor gas fireplaces and their piping fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings permitting, so the approval path for this vent-free unit must be confirmed before you buy; we review that, along with Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey sites, during a design consultation.

Does the fireplace include a burner?
No. The burner system is sold separately. The manual lists the G10 and G21 vent-free burners for this series.
Can it be installed in New York City?
It is certified for outdoor use only, and any NYC installation of an outdoor gas fireplace must clear the NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings process. Confirm the approval path with us before ordering.
What can I clad it with?
Tile, stone, brick or veneer. AFD advises consulting a professional contractor on the finish substrate and caring for the GFRC with mild soap and an annual masonry sealer.
What is the difference from the vented model?
The vent-free version uses an unvented chimney and needs 36 in of clearance to overhead combustibles. The vented model has a vented chimney and cannot be placed under overhead combustibles.

Warranty
American Fyre Designs warrants GFRC fire features and burners for three years and valves, electrical components, accessories and controls for one year, excluding batteries, wind guards and screens. Coverage requires proof of purchase and residential use in the US or Canada. Non-Peterson parts, unauthorized changes, improper installation, burning wood and high wind damage are not covered.
