The Marquis Sentinel (FDV350) is a traditional freestanding direct vent gas stove with ceramic glass on three sides, so the fire reads from across the room, not just straight on. It is a good fit for a living room, bedroom or den that needs real heat without a chimney.

It runs from 29,000 to 37,000 BTU/h on natural gas and 27,000 to 35,000 BTU/h on propane, uses a dual burner for a fuller flame, and vents through a side wall or straight up through the roof. Choose the control option above: Millivolt (standing pilot, works without power), IPI Proflame 1 (intermittent pilot, upgradeable) or IPI Proflame 2 (full-function remote with flame, fan and thermostat control, factory installed).

Installation Notes

The Sentinel uses 4 in. x 7 in. direct vent pipe: Kingsman 4 in. x 7 in. flex vent kits, or M&G DuraVent DirectVent Pro, Ameri-Vent, BDM Pro Form or Selkirk Direct Temp with the approved adapter. Keep 12 in. to combustibles at the sides, 3 in. at the back and 36 in. in front, and follow the alcove limits if it sits in a recess. A product-approved vent terminal must be used, and the stove must be installed by a qualified gas installer to local codes. In New York City, direct vent gas stoves are installed under the NYC Fuel Gas Code by a licensed plumber with DOB filing where required, and the vent termination location usually decides feasibility. Which control option should I choose?

Millivolt is the simplest and runs without power. IPI Proflame 1 lights the pilot only when needed and can be upgraded. IPI Proflame 2 adds a factory-installed remote with flame, fan and thermostat control.

Will it work in a power outage?

Yes. Marquis states the millivolt and IPI valve systems allow operation during a power failure with Hi-Low flame adjustment.

Can it go on carpet?

Yes. The manual allows installation directly on carpet, tile or other combustible flooring with no additional floor protection.

Can it go in a bedroom?

Yes. The Sentinel is approved for installation in a bedroom or bed-sitting room, subject to local code.

Warranty

Kingsman (Marquis) Basic One Year Warranty: for the first year after installation, any defective component part is replaced, with labor paid on Kingsman's rate schedule through an authorized dealer (accent light bulbs, gasketing and paint excluded). Limited Lifetime Warranty: the heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner are warranted for as long as the original owner owns the stove; labor, material, freight and handling on lifetime-warranty repairs are not covered. Coverage applies while the unit stays at its original installation site in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii or Canada.
