Description

Overall Dimensions: Double-gang wall box time switch in a NEMA rated weather enclosure

The Warming Trends DT12HRNB is a 12 hour dial timer in a NEMA rated enclosure that switches the power to a Warming Trends electronic ignition fire feature, so the system shuts itself off after the time you set. It is built on an M.H. Rhodes wall box time switch with a 28 amp rating, rated 120 to 240 VAC, and the weatherproof enclosure lets it mount outdoors near the fire pit. It suits homes, hotels and restaurants that want an automatic shutoff for safety and energy control.

Features

  • Dial in up to 12 hours of run time; the fire feature shuts off automatically
  • 28 amp rated time switch, 120 to 240 VAC, 60 Hz (Warming Trends spec sheet)
  • NEMA rated enclosure protects the timer from weather
  • Fits a double-gang wall box and replaces a single-pole or double-pole wall switch
  • Brushed aluminum wall plate, dial and black knob included
  • Made in the USA

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • 12 hour dial timer with knob, brushed aluminum dial and wall plate, in a NEMA rated enclosure
  • Required: a licensed electrician for installation and a Warming Trends electronic ignition system to control

Optional Accessories

Installation Notes

Warming Trends and the timer instructions call for installation by a licensed electrician: turn the power off at the breaker, wire the timer per the 694/695/70AB wiring diagram, and mount it in a double-gang box. Electronic ignition systems must be electrically grounded to local codes or the National Electrical Code, and the supply must pass through an ON/OFF switch outside the fire pit; dial timers and emergency stops are optional add-ons in the Warming Trends manual.

In New York City, outdoor gas fire features and their gas piping fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings permitting, and propane at residences is restricted by the NYC Fire Code, so confirm the approval path before you build.
