The Warming Trends CCR6872 is a circular aluminum cover for large gas fire pits with 68 to 72 in. openings. Made from 3/16 in. thick aluminum with two handles, it closes the fire pit when not in use to keep rain, leaves and debris off the burner and media.

Covering matters more than it seems: Warming Trends states that burners and electronics must be covered when not in use, or the burner warranty is void. The cover must always be removed before the burner is lit.

Installation Notes

Measure the outside of your fire pit opening before ordering so the cover rests on the top surface. Warming Trends instructs that any cover be removed before operating the burner and stay off during operation, and that the fire feature cool completely before it is covered. For New York City addresses, outdoor gas fire features and their gas piping fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings permitting, and propane at residences is restricted by the NYC Fire Code, which matters if you are planning the fire pit itself.
