The Warming Trends CROSSFIRE FRT7242 is a 72 x 42 x 18 in. rectangular ready-to-finish gas fire pit kit: an aluminum-framed enclosure with concrete board walls, a 48 x 18 in. aluminum pan and a 290,000 BTU tree-style CROSSFIRE brass burner, so you only add your stone, stucco or tile finish and a countertop cap. It runs match lit with a key valve, needs no electrical power, and is built for natural gas or propane.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: 72 x 42 x 18 in. concrete board enclosure on an aluminum frame, 48 x 18 in. aluminum pan, 290,000 BTU tree-style CROSSFIRE burner, dual flex line kit, key valve kit with chrome flange and two keys, two vents (Fire Pit Vent Kit), match lit setup
- Required: finishing material and cap, a level stable base, a gas shutoff outside the fire feature, a licensed gas installer and fire-rated media

Installation Notes
Set the kit on a stable, level surface, install the two supplied vents on opposing sides (they are not pre-installed), and finish the concrete board walls without building the cap over the pan edge so the burner stays serviceable, per Warming Trends instruction manual V3.1. Keep 36 in. horizontal and 120 in. overhead clearance to combustibles, do not fill the cavity, and fit a gas shutoff outside the fire feature; a licensed gas professional should connect and leak test the burner. In New York City, fixed gas piping requires a licensed master plumber and permits, and rules for open flame and propane on terraces and rooftops vary by building, so confirm what is allowed before you order. What do I need to finish it?
Any non-combustible finish such as stone veneer, stucco or tile over the concrete board walls, plus a cap. Keep the cap from overhanging the pan edge.
Does it need electricity?
No. It is match lit with a key valve. Electronic ignition is a separate Warming Trends option.
Are the vents installed?
No. The two vents ship with the kit and are installed on site on opposing sides of the enclosure.
What media can I use?
Fire-rated media made for fire features, 1/2 in. or larger, placed on the plate rather than dumped over the burner and no more than 1/2 in. above the jets. Never use gravel, pebbles or river rock.

Warming Trends full lifetime warranty on CROSSFIRE brass burners from the date of purchase, transferable with proof of ownership (Warming Trends warranty and manual V3.1). Repair or exchange is free during the warranty period; misuse, installation defects, modification and indoor use are excluded, and installation services and electronics are not covered by the burner warranty.
