It keeps rain, leaves and debris off the burner and media, protects the jets and ignition, and gives the top of the fire feature a clean, finished surface between fires. It is Warming Trends' CRR9112 size range for rectangular covers from 86 to 91.9 in. long and 6 to 12.9 in. wide; confirm the exact length and width you need when ordering. What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • You will need: a fire feature opening that matches the cover size; measure the inside of the opening before you order
  • Not included: burner, pan or plate, media or ignition, sold separately

Installation Notes

Only place the cover once the burner is off and the fire feature has fully cooled, and never light the burner with the cover on. The cover rests on top of the opening; it is not a structural surface, so do not stand on it or use it as a table for heavy items. Warming Trends requires at least 84 in. of vertical clearance above the burner and 36 in. of horizontal clearance from combustibles, plus 18 sq in. of venting on two opposing sides of the enclosure, for the fire feature itself (June 2026 manual).

In New York City, outdoor gas fire features and their gas piping fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings permitting, and propane at residences is restricted by the NYC Fire Code, so confirm the approval path before you build.

How do I choose the right size?

Measure the inside length and width of the linear opening. Warming Trends runs covers about 2 in. larger than the opening; give us the final cover dimensions within this range when you order.

Can I leave the cover on while the burner runs?

No. Use the cover only when the burner is off and cool. Remove it completely before lighting.

Will it rust?

The cover is aluminum, which does not rust. Like any outdoor metal it can weather and discolor over time.

Does it fit fire pits from other brands?

It fits any opening of the matching size and shape, but it is designed for Warming Trends fire features. Confirm the opening dimensions first.

Warranty

Warming Trends' published warranty (June 2026 manual) gives its CROSSFIRE and other jetted brass burners a full lifetime warranty from the date of purchase, transferable with proof of ownership, and states that other Warming Trends products may be covered by separate warranties with different terms. Installation services are not covered unless Warming Trends performed them. The original listing describes this cover as included in the Warming Trends warranty; request the current written cover terms when you order.
