The Warming Trends ALPAN18S is an 18 in. square aluminum burner pan that carries a CROSSFIRE burner and its media inside a masonry or concrete fire feature. Its 2 in. sidewalls form a shallow tray for lava rock or fire glass.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: one ALPAN18S burner pan, per current listing
  • Required, sold separately: a CROSSFIRE burner, gas connection and fire-rated media
  • Required: supports such as blocks, bricks or metal L-brackets (manual)

Installation Notes

Support the burner pan on blocks, bricks or L-brackets, never on the control box. Recess the assembly 4 to 6 in. below the top of the enclosure for wind protection, and keep the capstone ledge off the outer lip so the system stays serviceable. Never fill the enclosure with gravel or concrete. In New York City, outdoor gas fire features and their gas piping fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code and Department of Buildings permitting, and propane at residences is restricted by the NYC Fire Code, so confirm the approval path before you build.
