The Bromic Eclipse Smart-Heat is a 2900W electric infrared heater with a dimmable warm white LED light ring, carried on a 90-inch freestanding frame so nothing has to be bolted to a wall or ceiling. It is for the terrace, rooftop or covered patio where you want architectural heat and light over a table or seating group, and where the layout may change with the season.

A weighted base keeps the 90-inch pole stable (ten 22 lb weights, 320 lb for the base), the head is IP54 rated, and Bromic publishes a 3 year warranty for the Eclipse freestanding.

Installation Notes

The Eclipse is outdoor-rated at IP54 but Bromic recommends mounting it under cover whenever possible. Two strong people are needed to lift and assemble it, and a licensed electrical contractor should install the dedicated 240V outlet and confirm upstream protection. Use only IP54 or better outdoor plugs and sockets. Above 20 mph winds, bolt the base down or store the heater protected from the wind. Keep combustibles, canvas and vinyl at least 3.3 ft from the head. In New York City, electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician, and rooftop or terrace installs may need building approval. We install across NYC, Long Island, Westchester and New Jersey. Frequently Asked Questions

How much area does it heat?

Bromic rates the Eclipse at approximately 121 sq ft under optimum conditions of about 60 F in a low-wind covered space; actual coverage depends on ambient temperature and wind.

Does it need to be hard wired?

No. It ships with a 15 ft cord and NEMA 6-20P plug and needs a dedicated 220-240V, 20A grounded 6-20R outlet.

Can I use it in the wind?

It is designed to withstand winds up to 20 mph. Above that, bolt the base down or store the heater protected from wind.

Can I move it?

Yes, but the base carries ten 22 lb weights. Bromic says never remove more than 3 at a time and replace all weights before moving it.

Warranty
