Installation Notes

The MAi400-DFC is an outdoor appliance only. Mont Alpi requires at least 24 inches from the sides and 36 inches from the back to combustible construction, so plan it away from wood siding, fences and overhangs. The modules connect with basic tools, and the electrical source must be grounded per local code or the National Electrical Code. Natural gas conversion should be done only by an authorized person, using the orifices already fitted to the valves. In New York City, propane cylinder use on terraces and rooftops is heavily restricted by the FDNY, and a natural gas hookup needs a licensed master plumber. Does it come ready for natural gas?

It ships set up for propane. Mont Alpi's manual says the grill is certified for propane or natural gas and comes with the parts needed to convert, with both orifices fitted to the valves; the conversion must be done by an authorized technician.

Does the island need to be built in?

Mont Alpi limited lifetime warranty (per current listing): 100 percent of the part cost is covered for fifteen (15) years on the stainless steel roasting hood and stainless steel cooking grids, five (5) years on the stainless steel tubular burners, two (2) years on the stainless steel firebox and one (1) year on electronics.
