The SimpliFire Allusion Slim 40 (SF-ALLS40) is a 40 in. linear electric fireplace only 4-3/8 in. deep, made to recess fully into a standard 2x4 wall or hang on the surface with its included bracket. It is a clean, frameless-look fire for a bedroom, office or a wall under a TV.
Nine flame colors, 13 ember bed colors and five brightness levels run from the touch panel or remote, with clear and black crystals and a 5-piece log set in the box. The 1,500 W heater plugs into a 120V outlet.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

- Required: a 120V outlet within reach of the cord, or a hardwire connection by an electrician
- Required for recessed installs: a 38-3/8 x 17-1/4 in. framed opening, 4 in. deep
Installation Notes
Recessed, it fits a 2x4 wall with a 38-3/8 x 17-1/4 in. opening and wallboard up to 5/8 in. thick. Surface mounted, the bracket needs at least six screws or toggle anchors into studs or masonry and drywall at least 1/2 in. thick. Keep the glass outside the swing of any door and 36 in. from furniture. Electric fireplaces need no gas line or venting, which makes them one of the simplest fireplace options for New York City apartments and co-ops, subject to building and board approval for any electrical work. Book a design consultation to plan the wall, power and finish.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fit in a 2x4 wall?
Yes. It needs a 4 in. deep opening, 38-3/8 in. wide and 17-1/4 in. high.
Can I hang it on the wall instead?
Yes. A wall mounting bracket is included; SimpliFire also offers an optional wall mounted surround through dealers for some sizes.
Can it go under a TV?
It has zero clearance on the top and only 5/8 in. to a mantel; follow the TV maker's heat guidance for the space above.
Does it need a dedicated circuit?
It draws 12.5 A at 120V, so a dedicated circuit is the safest plan; ask your electrician.

Warranty
Hearth and Home Technologies limited warranty, per the SimpliFire owner's manual: covers defects in materials and workmanship for the periods in the manual's warranty table, starting on the installation date (for new construction, six months after the final sale, but no later than 24 months after shipment). It requires purchase from an authorized dealer, applies while the product stays at its original site and transfers to later owners without extending the term. Travel and parts shipping are not covered.
