The Bromic Affinity Smart-Heat Control runs compatible Bromic patio heaters from the Bromic Smart-Heat app over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Choose On/Off models for full-on or full-off switching of Bromic electric or gas heaters, or Dimmer models to dim electric heaters, in 1, 2 or 5 channel versions with up to 6,000 W per channel. Wi-Fi setups add schedules, zones and off-site control, making it a good fit for a terrace, rooftop or restaurant patio with several heaters.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: controller, instruction manual and accessory bag (cable glands, screws and washers; 5 channel models add a double bit key, mounting brackets and busbars, and the expansion board pre-installed)
- Optional: Affinity expansion board for Ethernet and 0-10 V on 1 and 2 channel models
- Required: compatible Bromic heaters, a smart device with the Bromic Smart-Heat app (Bluetooth 4.2, Android 8.1 or iOS 14.3 or later), and a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network within 30 ft for Wi-Fi control
- Required: four mounting fasteners, an isolation switch or circuit breaker (2 pole for 2 phase supplies in the US), and a crimping tool and 10 mm socket for Dimmer models
Installation Notes
The control must be permanently hard wired by a licensed electrician to local electrical codes; in New York City that means a licensed electrician under the required permits. Size each channel so the connected heater load stays within its rating, and keep the controller within 30 ft of the heaters for Bluetooth or of the router for Wi-Fi. Mount it where it stays within -4 F to 86 F in operation, out of the reach of children, and away from bathrooms, showers and pools. Dimmer heat sinks can reach 185 F, which is why those models need the 6 ft mounting height and open clearances. Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between On/Off and Dimmer?
On/Off models switch heaters fully on or off and are the only versions that work with Bromic gas heaters. Dimmer models dim electric heaters and use a heat sink, so they must be mounted at least 6 ft high.
How many heaters can one channel run?
Each channel handles up to 6,000 W of electric heater load, or up to 10 gas heaters on an On/Off model. Check each heater's rating label against the channel capacity.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
No. Bluetooth works within 30 ft. Wi-Fi on 2.4 GHz adds schedules, zones, multiple users and off-site control.
Does it need an electrician?
Yes. The control is hard wired and must be installed by a licensed electrician.
