The Bromic Platinum Smart-Heat Electric Marine BH3622003 is a 53-inch, 4500W dual-element infrared heater in white, built in 316 marine grade stainless steel for salt air, waterfronts and coastal terraces. At 2.1 inches deep it mounts flat to a wall or ceiling, or recesses into a soffit with Bromic's ceiling recess kits.

Heat goes straight to people and surfaces rather than the air, so it stays effective in wind, and Bromic Affinity controls let you dim it from 0 to 100 percent.

Installation Notes

The heater is hard wired and must be installed by a licensed electrician to the Bromic instruction manual, with a means of disconnection. Keep combustibles at least 3 ft away and use IP-rated outdoor switches and wiring. In NYC, electrical work is filed through a licensed electrician, and terrace or rooftop installs should be cleared with the building first.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is BH3622003 the 240V or 208V model?

BH3622003 is the 220-240V, 18.8 A white marine model. Bromic lists the 208V white marine version as BH3622007.

Does it come with a controller?

No. Bromic controls are sold separately; the Affinity switch or dimmer system is the usual choice.

Why choose the marine version?

It uses 316 stainless steel instead of 304 and carries an IP55 rating, which holds up better in salt air.
