The American Fyre Designs 36 Inch Chat Height Gas Fire Bowl (series 736) spreads a wide, low glass fiber reinforced concrete (GFRC) vessel across 36 inches at lounge height. It suits a patio, pool deck or terrace where a circle of chairs surrounds the fire. A flush GFRC cover, per the current listing, converts the bowl to a usable table surface when the fire is off. Choose manual flame sensing for simplicity, or FyreStarter for push button and Bluetooth phone control.

  • FyreStarter models: a 120V GFCI protected weatherproof outlet nearby

Installation Notes

Outdoor use only. Set the unit on a hard, level surface with the clearances above and never under overhead construction. Natural gas piping must be installed by a qualified installer; in New York City that means a licensed master plumber under permit, and roof or terrace locations may need building approval. Propane storage and use are regulated in the five boroughs, so confirm your building's rules before ordering. Units ship by LTL freight and are made to order. Frequently Asked Questions

Manual flame sensing or FyreStarter?

Manual is simpler and needs no outlet, at 60,000 BTU. FyreStarter adds push button and phone control at 65,000 BTU but needs a 120V GFCI outlet nearby.

Can I run it on propane?

Yes, but the tank cannot be stored inside the bowl. Use a remote tank, such as in the AFD tank and end table, with the 10 ft extension hose.

Does the bowl double as a table?

The current listing says a flush GFRC cover is included, which turns the bowl into a tabletop when the fire is off.

Is it for indoor use?

No. It is an outdoor decorative gas appliance and must be used outdoors with the required clearances.

Warranty

American Fyre Designs warrants the GFRC construction for three years and the burners, valves and electronic components for one year from the date of purchase, for the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Labor is not covered, nor is damage from burning wood or any fuel other than natural gas or propane.
