The Fire Garden 4035 Outdoor Traditional is a ready-to-finish outdoor gas fireplace that brings a classic hearth look to a patio, terrace or covered porch. A 40 x 35 inch viewing area frames a log fire rated at 95,000 BTU/h, on natural gas or propane, behind a tempered glass windbreak.

Travis Industries builds it for outdoor use only; you finish the face in stone, brick or stucco and choose the log set and fireback when you order.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: fireplace with burner, 34 in. flex line with shutoff valve, glass windbreak and hardware, two enclosure ventilation grilles, LP conversion kit, wall switch and cover
  • Included by variant: log set (Birch, Oak or Bon-Fyre) and fireback (Handmade Brick or Black Glass). A fireback is required before operating
  • Required: a Travis 24V AC transformer. Choose the single-appliance transformer (94800833) or the multi-appliance transformer for up to 6 fire features as an option, or select Without Transformer if one is already on site
  • You will need: gas line, a switched 110V GFCI circuit, low and high voltage wire and non-combustible framing and finish

Installation Notes

A qualified installer must frame the enclosure, run gas and wire the 24V transformer to the clearances and finishing rules in the 4035 manual. Gas work in NYC must be done by a licensed plumber under permit, and roof or terrace locations need structural and building approval for a 355 lb appliance.

Is a fireback included?

You choose Handmade Brick or Black Glass as a variant. Fire Garden requires a fireback before the fireplace is operated.

Can it run on propane?

Yes. It ships for natural gas with an LP conversion kit, rated 95,000 BTU/h on either fuel.

Can it be used indoors?

No. It is certified as an outdoor decorative gas appliance for well-ventilated outdoor areas only.

Warranty

Travis Industries (Fire Garden) limited warranty per the 4035 manual: 1 year parts and labor on the burner assembly, electrical assembly and gas control assembly; 90 days on optional accessories such as windbreak glass (thermal shock only), log sets, firebacks and the transformer. Registration at traviswarranty.com is required for full coverage, and the warranty goes to the original purchaser only.
