The Osburn 2000 is a large-capacity EPA certified wood insert for homeowners who want serious heat from an existing masonry fireplace. It has a 2.4 cubic foot firebox, accepts logs up to 20 inches, and is rated for roughly 500 to 2,100 square feet. An optional faceplate can cover a masonry opening up to 32 inches high and 50 inches wide, in black or brushed nickel.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: the Osburn 2000-I insert and blower. The door overlay, faceplate and trim are selected in the options.
- Required: a continuous stainless steel liner to the chimney top, minimum chimney height 12 feet. A 6" liner and venting kit with adapter and termination cap can be selected in the Venting option.
- Required: floor protection and hearth as shown in the owner's manual
- Required: dry, seasoned cordwood
Installation Notes
This insert is for installation in an existing masonry fireplace and must be connected to a full-length liner. It is not approved for alcove or mobile home installation. Clearances to combustibles, floor protection and mantel limits are in the owner's manual and must be followed exactly. Use a qualified, certified installer. Frequently Asked Questions
How much space will it heat?
Osburn recommends 500 to 2,100 square feet. Actual results depend on your home layout, chimney draft, climate and fuel.
What size fireplace opening do I need?
The listing gives a minimum opening of 28-7/8" wide, 23-3/8" high and 15-3/4" deep. Measure before you order, and choose the faceplate that covers the gap around your opening.
Do I need a liner?
Yes. The manual calls for an approved chimney liner, minimum chimney height 12 feet, with a 6" flue outlet.
How long can the logs be?
Osburn recommends 16 inch logs and lists 20 inches as the maximum, loaded east to west.

Osburn Limited Lifetime Warranty for the original retail purchaser. The combustion chamber welds and cast iron door frame carry lifetime parts coverage and 5 years of labor. Blower, switches and wiring are covered for 2 years parts and 1 year labor. Coverage varies by component, so read the full terms in the owner's manual.
