The EcoSmart Heritage 26SS is the smallest of EcoSmart's three Heritage built-in fireplaces, a zero-clearance bioethanol firebox that frames into wood or metal studs and gives the look of a traditional hearth with ceramic logs on a grate behind an integrated glass screen. It burns e-NRG bioethanol in a stainless BK5 burner, so there is no gas line, flue, chimney, vent or electrical connection, and the zinc-sealed, hi-temp powder-coated black steel body is rated for indoor or covered outdoor use.

Installation Notes
Secure the firebox in a fixed position before use, and keep the opening uncovered: it is not designed for doors and must stay open for air. Do not install it beside wallpaper, laminate, veneer or other heat-sensitive finishes, do not place real wood or other combustible media in it, and follow EcoSmart's mantel and finishing clearances. Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Heritage 26SS need a chimney or vent?
No. It burns e-NRG bioethanol, which EcoSmart says produces no smoke, soot or ash, so no flue or vent is needed.
Can it be framed into wood studs?
Yes. It is zero clearance and can be framed into wood or metal studs, keeping the framing above self-supporting.
How large a room does it need?
At least 2,472 cu ft (70 cu m).
Can I fit glass doors?
No. EcoSmart says the Heritage fireplaces are not designed for doors or opening covers and must stay open for ventilation.

Warranty
Per the EcoSmart operations manual, the transferable limited warranty is two years from purchase on stainless steel parts, including black ceramic coated, and one year on mild steel (including powder-coated), glass and other materials. Proof of purchase is required.
