Overall Dimensions: 63.9 in W x 21.2 in D x 50.5 in H
The EcoSmart Fire Heritage 56SS is the largest of the Heritage built-in ethanol fireboxes: a traditional open hearth with ceramic logs on an iron grate, a 56-inch-wide viewing area and an orange bioethanol flame, with no gas line, flue, chimney or electrical connection.
Its zero clearance, zinc-sealed steel body frames into wood or metal studs, so it can go into apartments, new walls and covered outdoor rooms where a vented gas fireplace is not practical.
Features
- Zero clearance construction frames into wood or metal studs
- No gas, flue, chimney or electricity; burns e-NRG bioethanol with no smoke, soot or ash
- XL900 burner: 9 L (2.4 gal) tank, about 8 to 13 hours per fill, 15,000 BTU/h
- Ceramic fire-rated logs and an iron grate for a classic hearth look
- Integrated toughened glass fire screen that sits flush behind the frame
- Zinc-sealed steel with hi-temp black powder coat, rated for indoor and outdoor use

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: XL900 burner, ceramic logs, grate insert, integrated glass fire screen, XL baffles, jerry can with safety spout and e-NRG bottle adaptor, lighting rod and lighter
- You will need: framing and a non-combustible finish to the EcoSmart clearance and installation manual
- You will need: e-NRG Bioethanol Fuel For Ventless Fireplaces In Quart Sized Bottles
Installation Notes
Verify the physical unit against your framed cutout before finishing the wall, as EcoSmart advises. The room must meet the 3,884 cu. ft. minimum volume. Ethanol fireplaces are not vented gas appliances, but NYC buildings, co-op boards and condo rules can still limit open-flame appliances, so clear the install with your building before ordering.
