The Napoleon Tall Linear Vector 50 with Luminous Logs (TLV50LN2) is a 50-inch see-through direct vent linear gas fireplace with a tall 52-9/16 x 26-13/16-inch viewing area, open to two rooms. Luminous Logs make the flames appear to rise directly from the logs over a modulating LED ember bed, with up to 36,000 BTU on natural gas.

A Luminous Log burner kit is required to complete the fireplace: choose Driftwood, Oak or Birch in the options, or No Thanks only if you already have the correct kit. Propane adds the Napoleon W175-0862 conversion kit.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: TLV50LN2 firebox with safety barrier, top light and LED ember bed, ProFlame II remote and receiver, eFIRE control capability, battery back-up
  • Required: one Luminous Log burner kit (DLKTLV50L Driftwood, OLKTLV50L Oak or BLKTLV50L Birch), selected in the options
  • Required: Napoleon 5 in. x 8 in. direct vent pipe and termination, sold separately, such as the Napoleon direct vent flex pipe
  • Required for propane: conversion kit W175-0862 (select Propane in the options)

Optional Accessories

  • Optional: FTTLV50 black 4-piece finishing trim (see-through units need one per face)
  • Napoleon heat management (Dynamic Heat Control, Dynamic Heat Control Plus, Ducted Heat Management or the LHAD hot air distribution kit) can move heat away from the wall above the fireplace when a TV, artwork or heat-sensitive finish is planned. Choose it before framing, because it changes installation details and clearances.

Installation Notes

Install by a licensed gas fitter to the current Napoleon installation manual, including framing, clearances, venting and electrical. Napoleon notes that propane conversion requires an approved rigid vent or power vent arrangement, so confirm the vent plan before ordering propane.

In New York City gas fireplace work requires a licensed master plumber and permit. Book a fireplace design consultation to plan the wall, venting and TV placement.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the log kit included?

No. A Luminous Log burner kit is required and is chosen in the options.

Can I mount a TV above it?

Yes, with the right heat management. Dynamic Heat Control, DHC+ or Ducted Heat Management reduce clearances for TVs and artwork; plan it before framing.

Does it need a power vent?

Not on natural gas. Propane installations require an approved rigid vent or power vent configuration.

Do I need trim for both sides?

The fireplace can be frameless. If you want the black trim on a see-through unit, plan one trim kit per face.

Warranty

Napoleon President's Limited Lifetime Warranty (owner's manual): the combustion chamber, heat exchanger, stainless steel burner, logs and embers, rocks, ceramic glass (thermal breakage only), porcelain enameled components and aluminum extrusion trims are covered for as long as you own the fireplace. Electrical components and wearable parts, including blowers, gas valves, switches, wiring, remote controls, ignitors and gaskets, are covered for replacement parts during the first year, and labor for warranty repair is covered during the first year through an authorized Napoleon dealer. Registration is not required; keep your proof of purchase.
