Louvered, tempered-glass HBZDV models. 3624/4224: 24,000 BTU NG / 22,000 BTU LP; 4736: 40,000 BTU NG / 36,000 BTU LP. Framing, viewing area, log/media choices and fitted components differ. Select the same fuel and ignition configuration and verify model-specific requirements.

The Kingsman HBZDV4224 is a 42 inch zero clearance direct vent gas fireplace in its louvered configuration, with a dual burner, a realistic flame pattern and a 24,000 BTU maximum input. Black louvers above and below a 33 3/8 by 20 3/8 inch tempered glass view give a classic fireplace face, and millivolt or IPI valves keep it running in a power failure. It is the most economical way into the 42 inch HBZDV chassis for a family room or den.

Installation Notes
Install per the Kingsman manual with approved Kingsman or listed vent pipe. Propane horizontal installs need at least one foot of vertical rise before the elbow on any horizontal run of one foot or more. Natural gas or propane only as shown on the rating plate. A licensed gas fitter must install it. In New York City, gas fireplace work must be done by a licensed professional under a DOB permit, and the direct vent route should be planned before ordering. Frequently Asked Questions
Louvered or Clean View?
Same chassis and burner. The louvered version has black grills above and below the glass; the Clean View kit gives a louver-free front and allows a higher combustible floor. Both are listed separately.
How is the HBZDV4224 different from the HBZDV4228?
The 4224 has a lower input, 24,000 BTU versus 28,000 BTU on natural gas, and accepts tempered glass.
Do I have to buy the log set?
The listing marks a log set as required. The manual lists LOGC42, LOGC43, LOGC44 and MQLOGC45 as compatible.
Does it work in a power failure?
Yes. The millivolt and IPI valve systems operate during a power failure.

Warranty
Per the Kingsman manual: a basic one year warranty replaces any component found defective in materials or workmanship, including labor, excluding accent light bulbs, gasketing, glass fronts and paint. The heat exchanger, combustion chamber and burner are covered for the period the original owner owns the product, with replacement parts only (labor, freight and handling are not covered).
