- Required: a log set (the listing marks the LOGC44 Burnt Oak set as required; Log Bits optional), direct vent pipe and termination, a gas line and a licensed installer
- Optional: fan kit, wide surround, wall-mount millivolt or programmable thermostat, remote control, WMBH battery holder
Installation Notes
Frame the opening at 36 3/8 in wide, 35 in high and 17 in deep, and vent it with approved Kingsman flex or hard-pipe systems through the rear or top. Propane horizontal runs of one foot or more need at least one foot of vertical vent off the flue before the first elbow. Keep the 60 in clearance from the bottom of the fireplace to the ceiling, and insulate outer walls in cold climates with drywall over the insulation. A licensed gas fitter must install it, and NYC and Long Island projects need permits. Book a design consultation and we will plan the vent route and framing.

Frequently Asked Questions
Louvered or Clean View?
This HBZDV3624 is the louvered version. The HBZDV3628 offers the Clean View look and a larger 28,000 BTU burner.
Does it work in a power outage?
Yes. The millivolt valve needs no household power, and IPI models can run on batteries with the wall mount battery holder.
Do I have to buy the log set?
The listing marks the LOGC44 Burnt Oak log set as required. Choose it, or Log Bits, in the media option.
Is it vented to the outside?
Yes. It is a sealed direct vent unit vented through a side wall or roof.
