The Majestic Ashland ASH50 is a factory-built wood-burning fireplace with a wide 50 in x 38 in opening and a refractory brick lining. It is built for homeowners who want a true wood fire in a traditional masonry style, with a brick lining that absorbs heat and radiates it back into the room. Optional bi-fold glass doors and a herringbone brick option let you tailor the look.

Installation Notes

This is a wood-burning appliance that must be vented through a listed chimney system and installed with outside air. Clearances to combustibles, mantel projections, hearth extension construction and chase framing are set by the manufacturer, so follow the installation manual and have a licensed installer do the work. Does the ASH50 need a chimney?

Yes. It requires a listed factory-built chimney system with a minimum straight height of 18 ft and a maximum of 50 ft, plus a termination cap.

Are doors included?

No. A firescreen is included. Glass bi-fold doors are optional and sold separately.

Can I burn gas logs in it?

The owner's manual lists gas log sets, gas log lighters and inserts as accessories. Ask us which are approved for your location before you buy.
