Other Majestic Sovereign gasketed glass door sizes: 36 inch | 42 inch (current size)

Fits: Majestic Sovereign 42 heat circulating (SA42C) wood-burning fireplace; 42 x 23-3/8 in. fireplace opening

The Majestic GGD42BK-B is the factory gasketed cabinet-style glass door made for the Sovereign 42 heat circulating wood-burning fireplace (SA42C). It frames the 42 x 23-3/8 in. opening with a black finish and lets you close the firebox when the fire is out, while keeping the brick interior in view.

Doors are ordered separately from the fireplace so you can choose the look; Majestic lists gasketed glass doors in black (Sovereign only), plus bi-fold and Grand Vista options, for the Sovereign series. This listing is the door kit only.

Installation Notes

Install the doors on the Sovereign 42 heat circulating following the instructions packed with the doors and the fireplace installation manual. Use only Majestic-listed doors on a Majestic wood fireplace and follow the fireplace owner's manual for door position during a fire. New York City does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we sell Majestic wood-burning fireplaces and their wood-burning accessories for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows them. Book a design consultation if you are planning a Majestic wood fireplace and door package.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it fit the radiant Sovereign SA42R?

No. Per the listing, the gasketed door is for circulating models only; the SA36C/SA42C owner's manual lists GGD36BK and GGD42BK as the gasketed doors for the heat-circulating Sovereign.

What is the difference from bi-fold doors?

The gasketed door is a cabinet-style glass door with a sealing gasket. Majestic also offers DM1742 bi-fold glass doors and GV42BK Grand Vista mesh doors for the Sovereign 42.

Does it work with the FK23 fan?

The FK23 fan kit is an option for the heat-circulating Sovereign; check the owner's manual for operation with doors closed.
