Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between heat circulating and radiant?
The heat-circulating SA42C draws room air around the firebox and can take the FK23 fan kit to move more heat. The radiant SA42R heats by radiation from the firebox only.
What chimney does it use?
The SL300 series chimney.
Are doors included?
No. Choose bi-fold glass, gasketed glass or Grand Vista mesh doors made for the Sovereign 42.
Can it go in New York City?
No. NYC does not permit new wood-burning fireplaces under Local Law 38 of 2015, so we supply the Sovereign for projects outside the five boroughs.

Warranty
Hearth & Home Technologies Limited Lifetime Warranty, per the warranty table (4021-645K) in the Majestic owner's manual: for wood fireplaces, lifetime means 10 years. The firebox and heat exchanger carry the limited lifetime term with 3 years labor; HHT chimney and terminations 7 years with 3 years labor; castings and baffles 5 years with 1 year labor; molded refractory panels 3 years; all other parts 1 year. Coverage requires purchase through an authorized HHT dealer and applies while the fireplace stays at its original site.
