The Summerset IM-15N is a 15 in. outdoor rated nugget ice maker, the soft, chewable ice many people prefer for cocktails and soft drinks. Summerset rates it at up to 55 lb a day with 26 lb of storage, per current listing.
It drains by gravity, runs on a standard 110 to 115V outlet, and vents from the front so it can sit flush in an island with no extra clearance at the top, sides or rear.

Plan a water line, a gravity drain and a grounded outlet before the island is finished; the manual calls for a pressure-reducing valve if water pressure is above its limit and recommends an inline filter. Do not install it behind a cabinet door or block the base grille, and keep it where the ambient temperature stays between 53.6 F and 95 F. In New York City, adding an outdoor outlet, water line or drain on a terrace or rooftop is work for licensed trades and often needs building or board approval. AMD Direct refrigeration warranty for 15 in. and 24 in. models, per the AMD Direct warranty printed in the owner's manual: 3 years on all construction, including the compressor, and 1 year on the transformer, LED bulbs, LED harness, power source wire, LED switches and interior light wire and bulbs. Coverage is for the original purchaser at the original delivery site, requires online registration within 30 days of purchase, covers replacement parts only (no labor), and does not apply to commercial, rental or nonresidential installations or to discoloration, surface rust or corrosion.
