The SimpliFire 35 in. electric insert (SF-INS35) turns a drafty or unused wood-burning fireplace into a warm, low-maintenance fire, or builds into a framed wall with its self-trimming front. A realistic log set, adjustable LED flames and accent lighting run with or without heat, so it works year round.
The heater adds about 5,000 BTU (1,500 W) of supplemental warmth on a standard 120V circuit. Choose an optional operable Mission door and a small or large 4-sided surround above to close the gap around a masonry opening.

Installation Notes
Measure the existing firebox: the SF-INS35 needs at least 35-1/8 in. across the front, 28-1/8 in. at the back, 23-3/8 in. high and 11-3/8 in. deep. Choose the surround that covers your opening, keep furnishings 36 in. from the front, and close the chimney damper. For new construction, frame to the architect guide dimensions. Electric fireplaces need no gas line, venting or chimney work, which makes them one of the simplest fireplace options for New York City apartments and condos; confirm any new circuit or recessed wall work with your building and a licensed electrician. Warranty
Hearth & Home Technologies (HHT) limited warranty for SimpliFire electric appliances, per the current SimpliFire manual: 2 years on all parts except as limited by the warranty conditions, exclusions and limitations, and 1 year on purchased replacement parts and optional accessories. Coverage begins at the date of installation (six months after sale for new construction), is transferable to later owners without extending the period, and applies to products bought from an authorized HHT dealer. Travel and shipping charges for parts are not covered.
