Kodiak double-stack burner with standing safety pilot and variable flame remote. Choose the same log style and fuel: Kodiak Char and Timbers offer natural gas or propane; Kodiak Split is offered here in natural gas only. Log piece counts, burner input, fireplace opening and chimney requirements vary by size. Confirm each model’s manual; these are double-stack packages.

The Hargrove 30 in Stacked Large Vented Log Set with pilot and variable remote pairs Kodiak refractory logs with Hargrove's double stack burner, a large ember bed burner plus a raised main burner, controlled by a variable flame safety pilot system and remote that turns the main burner on and off and adjusts flame height. Choose Kodiak Char, Kodiak Split or Kodiak Timbers logs, on natural gas (30CNDS1F8) or propane (30CPDS1F8). It is made for a masonry or wood-burning fireplace with a fully open flue.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: double stack burner system with valve and remote, the selected Kodiak logs, DG-24 grate, burner pan media (silica sand for natural gas, vermiculite for propane), ember material and a damper stop
- Required: a vented, non-combustible fireplace designed and approved to burn wood, with a fully open damper and the damper stop fitted, a gas supply, and a fire screen in place when burning
- Glass doors must stay fully open while the logs burn
Installation Notes
Hargrove's Kodiak sets need a fully vented fireplace with the damper completely open and the chimney clear, since combustion products must exit up the chimney. Never use a natural gas set on propane or a propane set on natural gas. Install to local codes, or the National Fuel Gas Code, by personnel qualified to install gas appliances. In New York City, gas work must be done by a licensed master plumber under a DOB permit, and propane tank storage in the city carries FDNY rules, so confirm the fuel with us before you order. Can I control it with a remote?
Yes. This version uses a safety pilot with a variable flame remote that turns the main burner on and off and adjusts the flame.
Can it run on propane?
Yes, with the propane burner (30CPDS1F8) in Kodiak Char or Kodiak Timbers; Kodiak Split is offered here on natural gas only.
Do I need a working chimney?
Yes. The fireplace must be vented, approved for wood, and have a fully open damper and clear chimney.
Will it fit my firebox?
Plan on at least 36 in at the front and back and 21 in of depth.

Warranty
Per Hargrove's limited warranty: refractory logs carry a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects or breakage when installed indoors; burner and grate five (5) years; valves, remote controls and switching devices two (2) years; all other parts two (2) years. Outdoor applications carry a one (1) year limited warranty. Breakage from handling after the logs have been fired is not covered, and defects must be reported to Hargrove within 30 days.
