The Warming Trends AON S56 is the largest square table in the AON powder-coated steel line, sized for a full ring of lounge seating, with a 280,000 BTU CROSSFIRE brass burner in a 36" square pan. This listing is the black finish, natural gas model with the Mercury Ignition System, a push button spark igniter with a thermocouple-monitored standing pilot that runs on one AA battery, so no electrical circuit is needed at the table. A flush-mount cover turns it into a clean low table when the fire is off.

  • Not required: an electrical outlet (Mercury runs on one AA battery)

Installation Notes

AON tables are for outdoor use only and must not be placed in a garage, under a sealed overhead structure, or in an enclosed space. Warming Trends calls for 36" of side clearance to combustibles, 72" from the top of the table to any overhead combustible such as a patio cover, and at least 1" between the kick plate and the floor so the base vents can breathe. Never set it on a combustible surface. If the gas line is buried, plan a riser about 10" above grade and a shutoff outside the table. Keep media no more than 1/2" above the burner jets and keep it clear of the pilot assembly. In New York City the gas line must be run by a licensed master plumber under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. What does "Push Button Manual Thermocouple Ignition" mean?

It is Warming Trends' Mercury Ignition System: a battery push button igniter lights a standing pilot, and a thermocouple monitors the pilot flame. It needs no outlet at the table.

Does it come with lava rock or fire glass?

No. Media is required and sold separately; plan on about 3 bags of lava rock or roughly 202 lb of fire glass for the S56.

Can I put it on a wood or composite deck?

Warming Trends says not to use the AON on a combustible surface and recommends a solid platform such as concrete, so plan a non-combustible pad and talk to us first.

Is this available in other colors?

The AON line is made in Black, Charcoal, Bronze and Sand Pebble. This listing is black; contact us for another finish on the S56.

Warranty

For residential installations Warming Trends warrants the fabrication and structure of each AON for 3 years from purchase and the powder coating for 12 months from delivery. CROSSFIRE burners carry a lifetime warranty, and the Mercury Ignition System is warranted for 3 years when installed on a Warming Trends pan with a listed CROSSFIRE burner. Labor, sun fading and normal wear are not covered.
