The Warming Trends AON R60 is a powder-coated steel gas fire table, a rectangular table that fits in front of a sofa or between two facing seating groups, built around Warming Trends' 230,000 BTU CROSSFIRE brass burner. This listing is the black finish, natural gas model with the Platinum Ignition System, Warming Trends' 24 volt electronic ignition with a hot surface igniter, so the fire starts from a switch rather than a match or pilot. A flush-mount cover turns it into a clean table top when the fire is off.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Required: media to cover the burner, sold separately, such as Warming Trends black lava rock or rolled lava rock
  • Required: a natural gas line with a shutoff valve outside the table, installed by a licensed plumber (supply pressure 3.5" to 14" W.C. for Platinum)
  • Required: an outdoor NEMA rated GFCI receptacle installed by a licensed electrician
  • Required: a solid, level, non-combustible base such as concrete

Installation Notes

AON tables are for outdoor use only and must not be placed under a sealed overhead structure, in a breezeway, or near windows and vents that open into the house. Warming Trends calls for 36" of clearance to combustibles at the sides and back, 72" overhead, and at least 1" between the kick plate and the floor so the base vents can breathe. If the gas line is buried, plan a riser about 10" above grade and a shutoff outside the table. Keep the table covered when not in use, because Warming Trends voids ignition warranty coverage on uncovered units. In New York City the gas line must be run by a licensed master plumber under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. Schedule a consultation and we will plan the gas, power and placement with you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a different generation from the other AON 60" listings?

No. This is the AON R60 with Platinum ignition in black. The bronze and charcoal listings offer the same table with push button, Mercury standing pilot or Platinum ignition.

Does it come with lava rock or fire glass?

No. Media is required and sold separately; plan on 1 bag of lava rock or about 87 lb of fire glass.

Can I put it on a wood deck?

Warming Trends says not to use the AON on a combustible surface and recommends a solid platform such as concrete, so plan a non-combustible pad on a wood or composite deck and talk to us first.

What power does the Platinum ignition need?

A standard outdoor GFCI receptacle. The factory-installed transformer supplies the 24V AC the system runs on.

Warranty

For residential installations Warming Trends warrants the fabrication and structure of each AON for 3 years from purchase and the powder coating for 12 months from delivery. CROSSFIRE burners carry a full lifetime warranty, and the Platinum Ignition System is warranted for 3 years residential (1 year commercial) when used with the specified burner, pan and cover. Labor, sun fading, normal wear and chips on the flush lid edges are not covered.
