The Warming Trends CROSSFIRE FRT6036 is a ready-to-finish rectangular fire pit kit: an aluminum frame already skinned in concrete board, with a 38 x 14 inch pan and a tree-style CROSSFIRE brass burner, so your contractor adds stone, tile or stucco and connects gas instead of building a fire pit from scratch. It suits homeowners and landscapers who want a custom-clad fire pit that matches the patio, with a solid brass burner backed by Warming Trends' full lifetime warranty. Media to cover the burner is required and sold separately, and the enclosure ships unfinished.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: aluminum fire pit frame wrapped in concrete board, CROSSFIRE burner with pan, Fire Pit Vent Kit (FPVK), flex line kit, and the ignition kit you select with mounting plate
- Required: media to cover the burner, such as Warming Trends black lava rock or rolled lava rock
- Required: non-combustible finish (stone, brick, tile or stucco) and a contractor to apply it and install the vents
- Required: gas line with an exterior shutoff, installed by a licensed plumber
- Electronic ignition: a power supply installed by a qualified electrician, with the control box above grade; the Cobalt electronic variant requires a burner cover
- Optional: extra venting such as the VENTBW vent kit if your veneer or size calls for more airflow
Installation Notes
Warming Trends requires venting on at least two opposing sides of the enclosure, at least 18 sq in each, placed in the mid to lower area; vents are not pre-installed so the contractor can locate them around the veneer. For electronic ignition the control box must sit above grade with drainage so it never floods, and power should be installed by a qualified electrician. Gas connections, leak testing and media placement follow the CROSSFIRE instruction manual. In New York City the gas line must be run by a licensed master plumber under the NYC Fuel Gas Code, and propane at residences is restricted by the NYC Fire Code. Book a design consultation and we will plan the veneer, venting and gas run.

Note: the cut sheet shows the enclosure, pan and venting for the 60 x 36 kit with a linear 150,000 BTU burner; this FRT version uses the tree-style burner in the same frame and pan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What can I finish it with?
Any non-combustible veneer: natural or cultured stone, brick, porcelain tile or stucco over the concrete board. Keep the vent openings clear through the finish.
Is media included?
No. Media to cover the burner is required and sold separately; lava rock is the safe default, especially on propane.
Which ignition should I pick?
Match Light is simplest and needs no power. Push Button adds a battery spark igniter, Mercury adds a spark-lit safety pilot with automatic shutoff, and the Cobalt electronic option needs a power supply and requires a cover over the burner.
Can it be built bigger than 60 x 36?
The kit is a fixed size, but your mason can add width with the veneer or a surrounding seat wall as long as venting stays clear. For larger custom shapes, ask us about a CROSSFIRE burner and pan on a site-built enclosure.

Warranty
Warming Trends gives CROSSFIRE and other jetted brass burners a full lifetime warranty, transferable with proof of ownership. Ignition systems carry separate warranties (Mercury systems, for example, are covered for 3 years residential and 1 year commercial), and Warming Trends offers no warranty on push button ignition systems. Burners and electronics must be covered when not in use or the warranty is void. Labor is not included.
