- We allow returns on all new, unused, unassembled, and "resalable" items in their original packaging within 30 days of the delivery date for a refund (minus the original shipping costs, and the shipping costs you incur shipping the product back). The American Fyre Designs Contractor's Model Vented Outdoor Fireplace is a handcrafted GFRC fireplace shell in white, with a recessed hearth and body so a mason or builder can clad it in stone, tile, brick or veneer. It is the starting point for a custom outdoor fireplace built around your patio. The burner system is selected and sold separately.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- Included: Contractor's Model fireplace structure in white GFRC with recessed hearth and body, and herringbone firebox liners; ships crated by freight
- Required to operate, sold separately: a G45 or G22 vented burner system in natural gas or propane, plus a log set or glass media
- Field cladding (stone, tile, brick or veneer) by your installer
- A gas line, 1/2 in minimum, with a shutoff; inlet 5 to 10.5 in w.c. natural gas or 11 to 13 in w.c. propane
Installation Notes
Outdoor use only; never install it inside a building, garage or enclosed area. Set it on a hard, level surface and keep all vent openings clear in all weather. Natural gas piping must be installed by a qualified installer; in New York City that means a licensed master plumber working under permit, and roof or terrace locations may need building approval. Can I finish it in stone?
Yes. The hearth and body are recessed 2 in so a mason can clad them in stone, tile, brick or veneer.
What burner do I need?
A vented G45 or G22 burner, in natural gas or propane. The burner system is sold separately.
Does it come with a burner?
No. The burner, valve and log set or glass media are chosen and sold separately.
Can it go under a covered patio?
No. Vented units cannot have construction above them.

Warranty
American Fyre Designs by R.H. Peterson Co. warrants the GFRC fireplace body for three years and burners, valves, electrical components, accessories and controls for one year (batteries, wind guards and screens excluded). Proof of purchase and installation by a qualified professional to the manual are required, and coverage excludes damage from burning wood or any fuel other than natural gas or propane, and damage or discoloration from high wind.
