The G10 stainless steel burner system is the R.H. Peterson vent-free burner used in American Fyre Designs outdoor fireplaces. It pairs with a vent-free log set, runs on natural gas or propane, and comes in a manual version, a 15 series variable flame remote or an 01V electronic remote. The stainless construction is what RHP permits in its certified AFD outdoor fireplaces, and it carries a longer burner warranty outdoors than standard steel.

What Is Included and What You Will Need

  • Included: the G10 stainless burner system in the selected size, control and fuel; remote models include the remote system
  • Required: a compatible vent-free log set (sold separately) and a certified AFD or RHP fireplace, a solid-fuel-burning masonry or UL 127 factory-built fireplace, or a listed ventless firebox
  • Required: a fireplace screen in place during operation, and a gas supply sized to hold the minimum inlet pressure at full flow

Installation Notes

Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. We sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows it. RHP certifies the G10 for solid-fuel fireplaces, listed ventless fireboxes and certified RHP/AFD fireplaces only; installation in any other fireplace voids approvals and warranties. Outdoors, the stainless burner must not be directly exposed to rain, wind or other weather. Installation and gas connection must be done by a qualified professional to the National Fuel Gas Code and local codes, which decide whether vent-free operation is allowed. Which size do I need?

Match the burner to your log set: G10-16/18 for 16 or 18 in logs, G10-24/30 for 24 or 30 in logs, and check the minimum fireplace dimensions above.

Can I use it in New York City?

No. Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in the five boroughs under the NYC Fuel Gas Code.

Are logs included?

No. The log set is sold separately.

What is the difference between the 15 and 01V remotes?

Both add remote operation and a low flame setting; 15 is the variable flame remote and 01V is the electronic remote version.

Warranty

The RHP unvented gas appliance limited warranty in the G10 manual covers indoor unvented stainless steel burners for ten years and outdoor unvented stainless steel burners for five years (controls excluded), and valves, pilots and controls for one year, excluding batteries. Labor is not covered, proof of purchase is required, and rust, corrosion or discoloration on outdoor products is excluded unless the part becomes inoperable.
