Description
Description
Correct Required Fire Glass by Burner Size
The 2026 Ray Murray catalog and Real Fyre vent-free retail price list specify 7½ pounds of compatible approved Fyre Glass/Gems for the 18-inch G21 burner; 10 pounds for 24-inch; and 15 pounds for 30-inch. The glass is sold separately and is not included with this burner. Unlike media weight, the unit's certified on/off remote control valve, oxygen depletion safety system, mirrored panel and remote transmitter/receiver are included as listed by the manufacturer.
Fuel selection changes the factory SKU: G21-GL-18-12N / -12P; G21-GL-24-12N / -12P; G21-GL-30-12N / -12P. Verify local code, installation setting, fireplace clearances, and authorized model compatibility; vent-free appliances are restricted in some jurisdictions.
Overall Dimensions: Burner sizes 18, 24 and 30 in; size per the American Fyre Designs vent-free compatibility chart
The G21 vent-free contemporary burner replaces a traditional log set with a trough of glowing fire glass or gems, giving American Fyre Designs vent-free outdoor fireplaces a clean, modern line of flame. Each system ships with a 12-series standing pilot valve and an on/off remote, so the fire lights from across the patio.

What Is Included and What You Will Need
- G21 contemporary burner with 12-series valve and on/off remote (transmitter and receiver)

Installation Notes
Choose the burner size your fireplace accepts from the compatibility chart, then your fuel. The burner sits in the firebox floor of a vent-free American Fyre Designs fireplace and is covered with glass or gem media to the depth the fireplace manual specifies. A licensed gas fitter should make the connection and leak test it. The fireplace and burner are for outdoor use only.
In New York City, outdoor gas piping must be installed by a licensed master plumber under a permit, and FDNY limits propane cylinders on balconies, terraces and rooftops, so confirm what your building and location allow before you plan the installation. Documentation
American Fyre Designs does not publish a separate G21 manual online; installation follows the vent-free fireplace manual supplied with your fireplace.
