The American Made Grills Estate ESTPB2 is a built-in power burner for outdoor kitchens that need more than a grill: a 36,000 BTU outer ring for wok cooking, searing and boiling a seafood pot, with a 24,000 BTU inner brass burner for simmering sauces. It is styled to match the Estate grill line, with independent controls and ignition for each ring and a stainless steel lid to close it up between uses.

  • You will need: a natural gas or propane supply matched to the variant you order, with an installer-supplied shutoff valve in an accessible location
  • You will need, for a combustible island: the AMG Power Burner Liner (GL-ATSPB2); AMG states the power burner must not be installed in a combustible cabinet without an insulating liner

Installation Notes

This is an outdoor-only cooking appliance and must be installed to local codes, or the National Fuel Gas Code ANSI Z223.1 and NFPA 58 for propane where no local code applies. Keep 18 in from combustible construction at the sides and back, do not install under overhead combustible surfaces, and use the insulating liner in any combustible island. AMG recommends professional installation and inspection before first use.

In New York City, natural gas piping to an outdoor kitchen requires a licensed master plumber and DOB permit, and FDNY restricts propane cylinder storage on terraces and rooftops, so order the NG version for most city installations.

Can it be installed in a wood-framed island?

Only with the AMG insulating liner. The manual says not to install the power burner in a combustible cabinet without one, and to keep 18 in from combustible construction at the sides and back.

Can I convert it between natural gas and propane?

Order the variant for your fuel: ESTPB2-NG for natural gas or ESTPB2-LP for propane.

What is it good for?

High-heat wok cooking, boiling large pots for seafood or pasta, frying, and gentle simmering on the inner burner.

Why mount it lower than the counter?

AMG recommends 6 to 12 in below countertop height so tall stock pots and woks sit at a safe, comfortable working height.

Warranty

American Made Grills provides a lifetime warranty on construction and manufacturer defects, the frame and housing, cooking grates, burners, valves, flame tamers and heat zone separators. Coverage on all other parts, components and electrical is listed as one year in the AMG power burner manual (ver. 072821) and as three years in AMG's current Gold Standard warranty description; see the linked AMG warranty document. Warranty is for the original purchaser at the original site with proof of purchase and photo documentation, registration within 30 days, residential use only, replacement parts only (labor not included).
