The Aspire by Hestan 30-inch built-in propane grill with sear burner runs one tubular U-burner plus one variable ceramic infrared sear burner, 23,000 BTU each, in a heavy-gauge 304 stainless welded body with 519 sq. in. of main grilling area. It is sized for a 30 in. island and a household that grills often and entertains on weekends. The value is in the details: an infrared sear burner for real steakhouse crust, flip-to-clean briquette trays that spread heat evenly and a halogen-lit, spring-assisted hood for grilling after dark.

Installation Notes
Use a non-combustible island, or the AGIJ30 jacket for a wood frame. Leave 4 in. behind the grill for the hood, add the upper and lower vent openings, and put the 1/2 in. NPT gas connection and GFCI outlet below the grill. Under a roof, plan a Hestan outdoor vent hood. In NYC, 20 lb propane cylinders are allowed only at one- and two-family homes, so multi-family buildings need natural gas. We have installed outdoor kitchens across NYC and Long Island for over 30 years; book a design consultation and we will confirm gas, electrical and cutouts before it ships.

Do I need an insulated jacket?
Only for a combustible island. Wood framing needs the AGIJ30 jacket even under stucco or stone.
What does the sear burner add?
Intense infrared heat for a fast crust on steaks and chops. It is adjustable, so it also works as a normal zone.
Can I switch to natural gas later?
Yes, with a Hestan conversion kit installed by a licensed gas professional.
Warranty
Hestan limited warranty to the original purchaser: one year on the complete product; lifetime on the stainless grill body, tubular burners, sear and rotisserie burners; ten years on grates and warming rack; five years on spit rod, briquette trays, manifolds, valves and sealed burner assemblies; two years on other components. Extended coverage is parts only; surface rust and discoloration are excluded.
