The Aspire by Hestan 36-inch propane grill with sear burner and rotisserie on the ECD36 tower cart runs two 304 stainless tubular U-burners plus one variable ceramic infrared sear burner, 23,000 BTU each, in a heavy-gauge 304 stainless welded body with 647 sq. in. of main grilling area. It suits a patio where you want Aspire performance without building an island, and the same EMBR36-LP head can move into an island later. The value is in the details: an infrared sear burner for a fast steakhouse crust, a 14,000 BTU infrared rotisserie for roasts up to 40 lb, flip-to-clean briquette trays that spread heat evenly and a halogen-lit, spring-assisted hood for grilling after dark.

Installation Notes

Keep the cart outdoors on a level surface, 12 in. from combustible walls at the sides and rear, and never under an unprotected combustible overhang. The grill needs a grounded 120V GFCI outlet for ignition and lighting.

In NYC, 20 lb propane cylinders are allowed at one- and two-family homes but not on balconies, roofs or terraces of multi-family buildings.

Can this grill be built in later?

Yes. The EMBR36-LP head is the same built-in unit and fits a 35 x 23-1/2 x 11-1/2 in. island cutout.

What does the sear burner add?

Intense infrared heat for a fast crust on steaks and chops. It is variable, so it also works as a normal cooking zone.

How big a roast fits the rotisserie?

Up to 40 lb and about 10 in. in diameter, turned at 3 rpm in front of the rear infrared burner.

Can I switch fuels later?

Yes, with a Hestan NG/LP conversion kit installed by a licensed gas professional.

Warranty

Hestan limited warranty to the original purchaser: one year on the complete product; lifetime on the stainless grill body, tubular burners, sear burner and rotisserie infrared burner; ten years on cooking grates and warming rack; five years on spit rod, briquette trays, manifolds, gas valves and sealed burner assemblies; two years on all other components. Extended coverage is parts only, and surface corrosion and discoloration are excluded (Aspire use and care manual).
