Broil King's Imperial built-in owner's manual calls for set clearances to combustibles, enclosure vent openings, a GFI outlet below the counter and, under combustible overhead construction, an outdoor hood; never operate the grill under an unprotected overhead roof or in an enclosed area. Gas connections must be made by a qualified installer. In New York City, a fixed gas line requires a licensed master plumber and a DOB permit, and propane cylinders are restricted by the FDNY.
