The Bromic Tungsten Smart-Heat Electric 2000W is a 44 in infrared heater in matte black that mounts on a wall or ceiling to warm about 65 sq ft of a covered patio, pergola, balcony or restaurant terrace. A spectral reflector throws the heat down onto people rather than into the air, the frosted single-element tube keeps glare low, and it is silent, odorless and instant on, with Bromic Affinity controllers available for remote on/off or dimming.

Installation Notes

The Tungsten Smart-Heat Electric is hardwired by a licensed electrician to a dedicated 230 to 240 V single-phase circuit sized for the heater's current draw, with an all-pole isolating switch or a Bromic Affinity controller. Mount it with the tube elements horizontal, at least 8 ft (96 in) above the floor, with the ceiling and side clearances shown in the manual diagrams for your wattage and bracket; outdoors, place it where it is sheltered from direct rain whenever possible to keep the IPX4 rating effective.

It is not for bathrooms, laundries or boats. In New York City, a new 240 V circuit on a terrace, balcony or roof requires a licensed electrician and an electrical permit, and co-op or condo boards often require approval, so plan the wiring before you order.

Can it be used indoors?

Bromic lists the Tungsten Electric as suitable for indoor and outdoor heating, but not for bathrooms, laundries or boats.

Can I dim it?

Yes, with the Bromic Affinity Dimmer Controller; the On/Off Controller provides remote switching.

Warranty

Bromic warrants the heater to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for one year from the date of purchase, and warrants the Tungsten Electric heating element for its intended lifetime, defined in Bromic's element warranty terms as seven years from purchase.
