The Carol Rose 42 inch Premium Outdoor Firebox (OP42FB2MF) is the build-your-own version of Empire's Carol Rose outdoor fireplace: a stainless steel firebox with a refractory brick interior that you complete with the burner of your choice. Pair it with a Harmony burner and 30 inch Wildwood log set for a traditional fire, or a Loft burner for a contemporary linear flame, then add glass doors, a weather door or a drain tray. It suits a designer or homeowner who wants control over the look of an outdoor fireplace outside the city.

Installation Notes

This firebox is for outdoor use only and must never be installed in a building, garage or other enclosed area. Confirm framing, clearances and gas sizing with the Empire instructions for both the firebox and the burner before building. Vent-free gas appliances cannot be installed in New York City under the NYC Fuel Gas Code. We sell this model for installations outside the five boroughs where local code allows it. Empire's Carol Rose outdoor fireplace manual gives a limited five-year parts warranty on components and one year on remotes, thermostats and accessories. The previous listing described a lifetime combustion chamber warranty, which Empire's documents we reviewed do not state, so we confirm the firebox warranty with your order.
