In New York City, outdoor gas appliances, gas piping and propane storage fall under the NYC Fuel Gas Code, FDNY rules and DOB permitting, so the approval path must be confirmed before purchase. Does it come with a burner cover?
Yes. A grey glass burner cover is included. Remove it before lighting the burner, and use it to turn the table into a surface when the fire is off.
Can it run on natural gas?
Yes. It ships set up for propane and includes a natural gas conversion kit. Direct spark ignition versions are sold as separate natural gas or propane options.
Can I hide a propane tank inside the base?
Per the listing, the access door conceals a standard 20 lb propane tank in the base.
Is it okay to leave outside?
It is made for outdoor use, and Outdoor GreatRoom recommends keeping it covered when not in use and resealing the Supercast about every two years.
