The Challenger Designs Canyon Series 40 in Double Door, Door and Frame Only (CAN014-F02, Shaker style) is a 40 in wide, 29 in high pair of access doors on a 4 in deep frame, finished in Speckled Walnut powder coat. It is made for masonry, stone or framed islands where the cabinet box is already built: the frame sets into the opening so the island gets matching Canyon doors without a full aluminum enclosure behind them.

The door and frame sets into a finished island opening at the catalog cutout above; the island builder supplies the structure and any shelving behind it. Use the matching CAN-TRK-40x29 trim kit where the surface is uneven.

On a roof deck or terrace, confirm the structure can carry a finished kitchen with its countertop before you order; in New York City, terrace and rooftop kitchens in multifamily buildings usually need building or board approval.

No. This is the door and frame only version, 4 in deep. For a fully enclosed cabinet with a shelf, choose the Canyon 40 in double door full enclosure (CAN014-F01).

What opening does it need?

Challenger lists a 38.5 in W x 27.5 in H x 4 in D cutout for the 40 in door and frame.

Can I use it in a masonry or stone island?

Yes. That is what the door and frame only version is for: the island structure forms the storage space and the Canyon frame and doors finish the opening.

What other widths are there?

Challenger makes double door and frame only units in 30, 36 and 40 in widths, in Standard and Shaker styles.
