The Dimplex Optimyst Revive (ABN15-RGB-AM) is a 25 in water vapor fireplace insert that turns an unused hearth into a working focal point without a chimney or gas line. Optimyst technology lights a fine water mist from below to create 3D flames and smoke over a charred log set, refilled from a pull-out drawer, with an optional 1,250 W fan-forced heater.

Installation Notes
Before fitting the Revive into an existing fireplace, have the chimney professionally cleaned and blocked off. Keep the fresh air inlets clear and place the unit away from drafts, vents and ceiling fans, which disturb the vapor flame. Do not add water until the unit is secured in place.
Use normal clean tap water; in hard-water areas a water softener is recommended, and the reservoir, tank and transducer need regular cleaning with soap and water. Empty and dry the unit if it will sit unused for more than two weeks.
Because it burns nothing and needs no vent, a water vapor fireplace is a practical way to bring a sealed or non-working NYC fireplace back to life.
